myth number one: There are no such things as a myths.
The time of the gods was over and time of man had come. Man's reign began many eons ago, and their predecessors, the gods, while once worshipped are now long forgotten. Man is destruction. Greed, power and lust corrupted mans reign and the earth herself suffered. After decades of abuse the world was dying, the gods had lost their powers, the creatures they had banished to mythology to protect the humans could sense this, and soon, very soon the world would die.
With the death of the blue planet, everything was going with her. Most humans did not care or could not stop the avalanche they had already set into motion, some didn’t even notice. The gods had already lost their powers when mankind in its childhood stopped believing in them, and now they were about to lose everything. The balance had been broken, the myths and legends had been released into reality. The last god had disappeared, the world went black, each night lasting long and longer, until the day only seemed to last for seven hours, and the night for an eternity.
Desperation caused man to frenzy, the nations in their atheism had forgotten all about hope and promise that the gods could bring them, they had forgotten about the balance, and how could the man believe in that which it did not know? Chaos, destruction, and mayhem ensued. The gods have been bond back into flesh and bone, reincarnated while a war rages on the world, volcanoes erupting, tsunamis striking, tornadoes destroying. Nothing is safe, the balance must be restored in order for the world to return to its balanced self. Humans, gods, vampires, shape-shifters, demons, and angles alike, now walk the earth, some tying to help save the world, other trying to ensure it stays in a state of turmoil. The myths and legends are freed, some returning with a vengeance, others just happy to be more than an old story. The world is no longer safe, and man is no longer mans worst enemy. Fear has returned.
The night has fallen what will you do
